Anybody work at Yeongsang Sungji HS in Yeonggwang recently?
« on: December 20, 2009, 02:13:41 pm »
You don't have to name names, I just found this job ad they've been running interesting (emphasis mine):
Quote
School name: Yeongsan Sungji High School
Location: Yeonggwang, Jeonnam Province
(Yeonggwang website: http://www.yeonggwang.jeonnam.kr/yg_eng/ )
Housing Location: near the school
Housing type: studio
Teaching hours: 22 hours per week
Working hours: M-F 8:30 am ~ 4:30 pm
Salary: 2.2/2.4/2.5 million won monthly
Paid vacation: 20 working days
Etc: Medical insurance, National pension, Round trip tickets, Severance pay, Settlement allowance (300,000won)

Few things you need to know before you apply for this position.

- Yeonggwang is pretty rural.
- This school is an alternate school. All the students live in dormitory.
- You will teach at both middle and high school.
- The last two teachers were very troublesome, so this time they really want to hire a genuine and reponsible teacher. - The school staffs are all very nice and kind.

If you know those two, they might be interested to know the school considers them troublesome.

I know the teachers in question and they will see this post and the original ad. My family and I also work in Yeonggwang.
Thanks for looking out for all of us collectively,
Canoe (Andy).
