I am seriously thinking of making a PPT on this and teaching it to my students.

Tha's a good idea!

I agree with every one of the items mentioned. I would also add proper dining etiquette. There really is no need for other diners to see the food in your mouth or listen to you enjoying it, I don't care which culture you come from.

Oh yeah, don't fart or belch in public!

While I don't like it any more than you, when judging Korean kids you really have to go by what is and isn't polite in their own culture. Like with kids anywhere, you'll find enough things to get upset about just going by that. It's pointless also to get upset at them for acting like Koreans.

I find kids here to be really pampered, tbh. I've honestly never seen so many screaming hellions running around with parents placidly looking on and refusing to admonish them. Really does my head in, was at an aquarium in Seoul this weekend and the kids were yanking the little starfish etc out of the touch pool and slamming them on the ground while their parents chuckled and took pictures.

At my school, they pretty much just do whatever. The kids aren't bad but they have no discipline really. Trying to get them to line up to enter the English Zone was a massive struggle and these are middle schoolers.

My mom was a stickler for manners, and on the top ten list was this one - "It's very rude to point out to someone else they they are being rude".

I f-ing hate this rule!

But, heres a story for you: Back in the day when a gentlemen would never take off his dinner jacket before his host did, a man showed up a a party with no jacket. One of the guests commented to the host - "my, what an uneducated chap!". To which the host responded "well, it is rather hot today", and took off his own jacket.

So, while breaking the jacket rule was a mistake, an even bigger mistake was pointing out someone else's mistake.

Anyhow, as far as I know dropping hints is okay, so long as you keep your voice polite. Seeing the kids abuse the starfish, I might be tempted to warn the mothers of all the horrible bacteria and parasites on the animals. For the children's own good, they should leave the starfish in the pool.

Poor starfish. I pity any animal that isn't a purebreed dog around here.

After last week's holiday there were cloudy basins filled with dead tadpoles along the corridors. I guess no one thought about taking care of them over the long weekend. And then the kids set up the lunch carts beside the murky basins.  :o
