Grade 3 (Middle School) Textbook DVD Won't Load

I have the J.L. Haas Middle School English 3 textbook which includes a DVD that has recently quit working.  Not just on my computer, but classroom computers, co-teacher computers, my home computer... it starts up, but when it gets to the intro the window goes white and the intro never loads. Consequently I can never get to the menu. 

I can tell it's trying to run some javascript in an IE window, so I suspect that there was some kind of Windows security update that is now blocking that crappy code.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?

Aha! The IT man commeth! 

He's an elusive one, but I cornered him and showed him my problem.  He downloaded this file from his email, then ran the files inside to: uninstall Flash 10, uninstall Flash 9, reinstall Flash 10 (with Active X) and then ran the 두산.exe.  Afterwards, it ran.

Thought I'd post it in case anyone else does have the same problem.
