My coteacher is doing an open class for this lesson so she's been going crazy about getting materials now. I made this bomb game for 3rd period.

You'll have to change 2 slides which have our school's birthday and 6th grade voting day.

This is just something I threw together. It's not finished and it's mostly missing valuable content but it should get you going. The only real valuable part for other teachers is the handout. I made a small Q and A game (think 20 questions) with the months of the year.

Here are some worksheets that go along with this lesson. The first is the introduction with vocabulary, key phrases, dialogue and translation. Also accompanying this is a Korean holidays worksheet. This is matching the English to Korean to the date. There's an answer key I've included as well. Next is a numbers supplement which includes cardinals, ordinals, and months. Last is the game board which can be used as an additional "Let's Play." Just laminate it and put a spinner on it. The students have to ask, "When is your birthday?" and respond with whatever they flicked the spinner to. "It's ______ ____." All are available for Windows 97-2002 and 2007.

Hey guys,
I found that when I taught the my first class of five on this lesson, the Korean holidays worksheet was a little difficult for them to do in a timely manner and they really had no idea. So I made this powerpoint that is easy to follow and gives two or three pictures so the students understand what it's about. Enjoy!

I made a PowerPoint using Failblogs from youtube. I proposed a question and had students guess what will happen with "I think so" and "I don't think so"

It's a simple PPT, maybe a good 5-10 min.

In the first lesson we studied the months of the year, and they had to do a survey about their friends' birthday. We played a matching game with the names of the months and what number the month is. In the second lesson we reviewed phonics and studied ordinal numbers.

Does anybody have an MP3 or (even better) a downloaded video for The Months Song? The student co-teacher I had for this unit last year had downloaded the video somehow, but she left before I thought to ask if I could have a copy. My students LOVED it.
