I know of a Hot Yoga spot in Shinae in Suncheon, but it's only in Korean instruction (Of course). I'm currently taking my yoga classes from a lady from LA who lives in Suncheon, classes are held in her apartment. It's great and all in English!

Hey does anyone know of a yoga studio in Mokpo?  Or even something remotely similar to yoga (pilates, etc) would be interesting.

Thanks

There is a hot yoga in Pugnam..been open since Feb.  I'm a member there for the next three months.  Pretty stylish and comfortable place.  I have some experience doing yoga so I'm pretty comfortable with the Korean instruction.  Also, I met another foreigner who goes to a hot yoga in Unam.

So there are hot yoga places here..any more information just post me a message on here.

I would love to find something near Mokpo, or even Yeongam. Starting yoga in Korea seems a bit absurd to me, but better here than nowhere!

The only two official Bikram studios are in Gangnam and Apgujeong. Bikram Yoga -Gangnam is right behind Kyobo Tower near Sinnoonhyeon Station (forgive my spelling)http://www.bikramyogakorea.co.kr. Yoga Palace (Apgujeong Studio) is near Rodeo street right above Tom N' Toms coffee shophttp://www.yoga-palace.com/?page_id=273 Both studios teach exclusively in english. For those who've never taken Bikram, it is 90 minutes in a hot, humid. From all the hot yoga places in Korea, they keep it the hottest.

The hot yoga is hit or miss here. I have been to some that are only 50 minutes long, start late, and are just have a humidifier in the corner. I have also had the best yoga teacher of my life at another. I don't recommend going to a hot yoga attached to a gym unless it is a really high class gym. From what I've seen, it is usually hot yoga in name only. And is only used as a marketing ploy to bring in new customers. If you find a stand alone hot yoga, they are usually better. I've heard good things about the chain "Hot Yoga Korea." They are cheaper than Bikram, but again, they teach exclusively in Korean. Ha, though I hate to endorse them, because they don't allow males to take the class. In my first year out here in 2008, I exhaustively searched for a good hot yoga studio. But as a man, most studios in Gyeonggi-do would not allow a men to take the class. Why? The answer i got more often than not was, "Women are shamed when men see them sweat."  ???

If you are looking for a hot yoga place in Ulsan there is one Near hyundai department store just across the street and diagonally from the McDonalds. It is above Del Monico's Italian restaurant http://www.hotyogakorea.com/
