I've never been much of a TV watcher (in fact, I didn't even have cable back home). But after spending a while in Korea, I started watching a TON of western shows, old and new..... this is my list:

Better Off Ted
Nip Tuck
Dexter
How I Met Your Mother
30 Rock
Big Bang Theory
Frasier
Two and a Half Men
3rd Rock From the Sun
Modern Family
Parks and Recreation
Community
Scrubs
The Office
Breaking Bad
Family Guy
The Simpsons
Inbetweeners

.. I'm sure there's more....
What else should I watch?

you need more dramas, i think! (unless you don't like that sort of thing).

start small with stuff like "grey's anatomy", then maybe work your way up to "lost" and "friday night lights".

or maybe even delve into the world of cable!

highly, HIGHLY recommend shows include:
- the wire (best thing ever made. seriously.)
- breaking bad oops, already listed!
- rescue me
- the sopranos
- king of thrones (this is new, and really awesome).
- mad men

good luck!!

edit:
"it's always sunny in philadelphia" has been known to reduce me into a hysterical mess.
i'm also REALLY enjoying the british quiz show "QI", with stephen fry. i'm originally from england, so it's nice to have some "proper" tele every now and then.

I've been rewatching old episodes of Arrested Development. It's a cancelled show but it still continues to be HILARIOUS. I recommend watching it for laughs.

I'm watching a lot of the same shows but I'm getting tired of megavideo and the waiting 30 minutes after watching 72 minutes of streaming tv. Where do you all watch tv online? or do you download (if so where)?

If you think you can or can't do a thing - you are probably right.

As far as dramas are concerned, I am surprised no one has mentioned Boardwalk Empire. As as far as both a period piece and crime drama, I found it to be amazing. The characters are very complex and well rounded and the storyline is gripping. I am just waiting around for season 2.

Omg I'm going on a downloading spree this weekend!! Haha, thanks guys!!!!

I don't stream anything... just download it all. And sometimes put a few episodes on a USB and take it to work :D

I downloaded U-torrent on my computer, then I go to btjunkie.org and search for the shows I want. I hear Pirate's Bay is good too but I haven't used it.

I bought the megavideo subscription for 1 year. It was totally worth it as I can stream an unlimited number of shows and am no longer limited to the 72 min rule. That used to drive me crazy! I think it's the best purchase I've made in Korea! There is another streaming site that you can subscribe to as well called videoobb.com. I think it's new.

A few more I thought of...
-Cougartown - with Courtney Cox
-Criminal Minds - One of my favourite shows on TV
-Glee - Not for everyone but if you like musicals you will probably enjoy it

*Check out www.sidereel.com to see what shows are new!

I've been a TV addict for awhile!

I watch or have been watching

Fringe
Grey's Anatomy
Bones
Game of Thrones

And as for Korean TV

100 Points out of 100
Real School
And a lot of random idol variety shows.

For the US TV shows I have vuze downloaded and just use it to search for new episodes...it searches all the big torrent sites like btjunkie and piratebay. I think it searches about 8 sites? Hmm Not sure.

And for the Korean shows I have been watching them on Youtube...usually with fansubs except for 100 Points out of 100 which is shown on KBSWorld with subs.

My computer is already catching on fire from being terrible so I'm afraid to download things.

So, I can only watch TV shows that I can find on youtube with full episodes.  So far:

King of Queens

I've started watching Dexter, and love it! I'm also watching Game of Thrones and The Inbetweeners at the minute.

My husband has just written a post on our blog about good films and TV shows to watch, that might give you some more ideas.

Re-watching Battlestar Galactica right now - excellent show. I highly recommend to anyone.

The Battlestar Galactica remake is incredible. I started it about a month after I arrived.

I got really into Being Erica, too. I'm not sure why, but it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the next season.
