I'm Asian-American. I don't get the "foreigner nod" of acknowledgement by other foreigners when I'm walking down the street. I get Koreans who approach me asking things in Korean, though. And, if I'm ever out with my friends and we are approached by a Korean, they will often approach me first, thinking that I speak Korean in the group.

The poll is interesting--mostly Americans here it seems but I've met a lot of S. Africans and people from the UK as well.

I'm a dual citizen with the US and Finland. For all intents and purposes here in Korea, I'm from the US, but still my "Finnishness" is a part of me.

I'm American but my parents are from El Salvador. Even though I'm clearly not Korean, people always ask me for directions in Korean.
