My kids are still on the previous lesson, but this material can be adapted for any lesson. Since Father's day is on sunday, my kids will be making father's day 'credit cards'. If you're ahead in the book or want to do this as a second activity, I've attached the template for the cards below. The idea (found it on another site, so can't take all the credit) is that students will make a credit card sized piece of artwork for their dad that he can add to his wallet and keep as a momento. On one side I wrote "happy father's day" (or rather I left it blank so the kids could write it in English to impress/practice writing to their dad. On the other side, I'm going to tell them to draw whatever they want that they think their dad would like, ie hobbies which will make it perfect for the 'let's go hiking' theme. My co and I made a couple ourselves for examples. If you've got higher levels, have them write a little more like 'Let's go ____ on Father's day!" if you want.
