Slacklining

Any slackliners here? I was biking on the Han by Jamsil and saw a slackline up. Just wondering if anyone here has one and wants to practice or if anyone knows where to get one here. I know, the logical thing would have been to stop and ask them, but I didn't think of it until I had pedaled past.

I brought my slackline from the states. It is really easy to set one up with only 1" webbing and 3 carabiners. If you want me to show you how to set one up, I would be happy to do that. I can also take you to Jongro where a bunch of outdoor shops are located and make sure you get what you need. I have about 80' of webbing, but you don't need that much.

I live up in Ilsan near Daehwa on line 3. There is a place called lake park, near Jeongbalsan, where I usually go once a week to slackline. If you want to meet there, I can do that just about anytime.

PM me and I will send you my number.

Awesome, great to see there are some slackliners/climbers around. Any of us in Busan/Changwon area? I'm in Masan and would be interested in meeting up with any slackliners or potential climbing partners?

Also, any guesses on the price of a medium length slack line and a few caribeaners here?

Hey Bryn,

I would suggest checking out www.koreaontherocks.com for climbing partners. There is some great bouldering that I have done down there.

As for slacklining, I don't know how much it would cost to get a new set up. Gear here is a little more expensive here, but but I would guess about 80,000 won. Next time I go out to get gear, I will check prices. If you ever come up here please let me know and I would be happy to hang out.

I also live in Masan and am looking for climbing partners. I'm not terribly good (it's been awhile since I've climbed regularly), but I enjoy it and have my own equipment. FYI - there's a  good bouldering gym near the stadium if you haven't checked it out already.
