Here is my lesson plan for the first part of this chapter and an introductory powerpoint.  I have some additional verbs in there because of a project we are doing.

Here is a link to a really fun song! It's great to do all of the motions with the students.

Also, this is the 5th lesson of 10 so it's the half way point in the book. Do you guys have any plans for special lessons. My students won't have exams until July 5th.

last week I gave the book "a rest" and concentrated on vocabulary acquisition with adjectives.  If I need filler at the end of the semester I'm going to work on basic sentence structure with them.

Here are some things I picked up from mediafire last year.

Intro ppt - basic pictures of actions
Bomb game
From head to toe - picture book (I tried having kids act this out last year but I didn't have a coteacher so it didn't go well. But I'll give it another go this time.)

here is my lesson plan for part 2 of the chapter.
I have decided to use each lesson to review verb sets and I am using the ones from MES-English
so I am attaching the files for those as well

here is my lesson plan for Part 3
We will learn to sing "Can an Elephant Jump"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA6dKNsl6zk
I am attaching someone else's file for teaching it
We will learn verbs from set 2 so I have attached the MES-English file
Our game involves taping a picture of each verb to a student's back - they have to guess what it is by asking "Can I swim?" etc.

Here is my lesson plan for Part 4
I have added a review ppt and Pass the Ball game
There is a Disappearing Dialogue ppt
I will Review verbs3 with them and play "Say It Frst" - divide the class into two teams - make two lines facing the T
T quickly shows a flashcard - only the front S in each line can answer - First one to Say It gets a point
Then they go to the end of line and you repeat
"The Bhagavad Gita - that ancient Indian Yogic text - says that it is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection. So now I have started living my own life." Elizabeth Gilbert

I've got a treat for you guys.
I gave the pirates of the classroom game a total makeover for the lesson review for this chapter.

Not only is it more pretty in every way, but it has a nifty little button that changes the pictures at the top of the map screen that makes the verb options change.

I'm posting this too late for anyone to find it useful this year but hopefully it will help someone next year. I hope you enjoy!

One thing: If you decide to shuffle the reward slides, you'll find that all the beach slides are in the first half and the jungle slides are in the second half. You might try to keep them separated to maintain the illusion that they are exploring the island.
