Searching to avoid duplicate topics

In a previous post about media fire, it was mentioned that organization would be better if people used the search function before posting.

I was wondering if its possible to make the search include numbers;  for example, if I type "Grade 5 Lesson 6" I get an error that the search must be at least 2 characters long.

The problem is that the titles of chapters vary a little by how people put them in, and even though I try searching every possible combination I can think of for a lesson title (What's this, what is this, whats this, what's this?, etc) I often get no relevant results.   But, then when just browsing, I find the exact thread I was looking for.

I thought if it was easy to change... that it might make the search function work a lot better

Good suggestion, thanks!  I don't have access to that myself, but I've passed along your request to the administrator.

I completely understand the desire to have that feature available, but unfortunately it would require some code change that I'm not sure would leave things a little unstable.  I have however change the settings so that it looks for whole words rather than parts that match, let me know if this helps
