Here is my contribution, a Mario game edited for this lesson.

Basically, pictures of things to watch out for. Students have to say "Watch out for the ____" Few others too.

watch out ppt was very well done.

note to mario game players. use 1,2,3,4 for the last 4 mushrooms. confusion resolved. also, moving slides wont disrupt hyperlinks. it will point to whatever slide is at that place.

Hey look, another board game

I didn't like the book's version either, plus my kids do better working as a class than in groups. Don't put it into slideshow mode, or you won't be able to mark each team's progress with the colored circles.

I also added a PPT to practice the phrases before playing the game.

i saw mario game last year in 3th grade

kids really loved it

it was the most activated english class i ever seen

Someone posted this video for lesson 4, but it's perfect for this lesson as well. I show the kids the first few minutes of it, and later ask them what they remember. I'm getting them to say "Watch out for the ___"

Also, here's a car race game that someone made and I modified for this lesson.
To play, I split the kids into 2 teams, red car and blue car teams. To play, I ask a kid from each team to come up to the screen. They play rock-paper-scissors to determine who will choose a number. When the number is chosen, the student who says "Watch out for the ____" the quickest gets to advance in the car race. When I played this before, they went nuts for it. I figure I'd bring it back! Btw, all pics are from the Mario game I previously posted.

Here is another simple Watch Out! PPT - this is just for the first lesson so it doesn't have the secondary phrases (can you help me? sure I can, sorry I can't). I just thought I'd pot it for variety.

I am new to the website and forums. I can not seem to find the attachments people post. I keep seeing posts where people say they made a powerpoint or attached a file but I do not see it anywhere. Am I just missing something very obvious?
