Kiwi In Jeonju :D
KiwiInKorea:
Hey everyone,
I've just arrived in Jeonju (originally from Christchurch, NZ) to start at a girls' high school here. Am in a bit of a jet lagged daze at the moment, haha, but after I've settled in, it'd be awesome to know other people who're on Waygook. If you'd like to catch up, feel free to PM me. Am hoping to get some travel in during the weekends here so it doesn't matter if you aren't based in Jeonju.
Cheers :D

Not a kiwi but a Brit in Jeonju. Hi ^^
I don't know how well you know the area, but Bukdae (the area that Jeonbuk university is in) is a great area to hang out and plenty of foreigners hang out and live.
Check out The Jeonju Hub on Facebook and website for lots of info (food, job postings, local news etc etc) and they often arrange get togethers for us waygooks and Korean natives.
Enjoy your time in Jeonju! Check out Hannok Village for culture, and eat kongnamul guk bap (beansprout soup with rice) and jeonju bibimbap as they are both local foods!

Heya....
I'm Moana, I'm a Kiwi from Christchurch too. Hope your settling in well.
I don't live in Jeonju but in Muju which is like a 2 hour bus ride from you. However, I usually visit there every weekend with another friend. If you want to meet up this weekend, that would be cool, just message me or something. But if you don't all goods too. I have been here now just short of 2 months and I love it.
Any way good luck with everything
