Its Spring
« on: April 07, 2011, 06:53:21 PM »
A bit double rate for spring I say,

With the warm weather among us, one of my favourite things to do with my young elementary students is to plant some seeds in a pot plant. It's a great way to do something different and really get your students interested about nature. You can use the lesson before to do some planning and go through with them exactly what you will need and do. If you have access to "The Magic School Bus" dvd's theres an awesome episode on spring and plants and how they grow. I'm going to be planting herbs with my students and once they are ready I'll be making pizzas with them and using what we have grown. I just can't wait for all that melted cheese action!!!

Happy spring teachers!!
