List of Seoul post offices open on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. If Saturday is a holiday then the post offices are closed.

I have to send a document to Canada, does anyone know if the Korean post office does return envelope? I need to get my degree notarized and sent to EPIK by Sept 21!

I just learned that a package I have been missing for a week was given instead to a "neighbor" - someone I have never met nor heard of.  The post office gave me the Korean name the person used to sign for the package (that came from the USA with English all over it) and I have been up and down my building without locating this person.  I plan to go back to the post office (as directed to me by them today if I was unsuccessful).

At this point, given that my name, address, and cell phone number were on the box and this person who supposedly accepted it for me (while I was home, by the way), I have determined that I could safely call my package 'stolen' at this point. 

Has anyone been in a similar situation?  What recourse could I possibly have?  What the post office even comprehend my being upset about this or is it a lost cause?

My co teachers do not know my address In English. Does anyone know, can they just directly translate the Korean into english and I can get mail that way?

If you can get a CT to type it out, you can actually probably just copy/paste it into googletranslate :p (assuming you don't know hanguel) Googletrans should give you a nice romanized version of your address no problem. (of course, you could also just type in it yourself if you can read the CT's writing). Your ARC will have your address on it once you get it.

Are stamps only sold at Post Offices, or are there other shops that also sell them? I've tried a few convenience stores with no luck, as the nearest post office is quite a long walk away! I see post boxes everywhere so am a little confused about the lack of stamps.

Okay, we've been here for over two months but have yet to find a post office in Jujeon.  We know there must be one somewhere, but haven't been able to locate it.

Can anyone help us???  We want to send a few parcels back home to Canada.  Is there a pricing list or something like that.  Most of the information is for America... so I would like to know for Canada

If you are not home when a package is delivered, will they leave a message in your post box to say that it is in the post office like they do at home?
Also do you think it would be better to get packages sent to school rather than your apartment?

They will either leave a message in your box or leave the package with your apt. office. If they have your phone number, they will send a message or call prior to delivery so you know when the delivery will be arriving.

I don't know what it's like at your school, but when I asked my co-teacher today to write out my apartment address for me, she told me to have packages sent to the school. They want you to sign for it, but if you are not home, they can't leave it. And I assume most apartment's are like mine and have a letter box, but no where for large packages to go, so I say giving your school address is your safest bet.

Of course, you will want to check with your co-teacher first to make sure that is okay.
