Family Feud Game (Template) for all levels
« on: April 07, 2011, 04:58:50 PM »
In this game, you can talk about student's interests and favourite things.
I use this game in my larger classes with students of all levels in the same class.
The week before I play Family feud, I give the students a questionnaire.  I attached a sample Survey, but you can ask them anything.  Then, we play this game during the second week.  I divide the students into groups of 5-6.  Each group gets a white board and a marker...if your school doesn't have whiteboards, then just laminate a white piece of paper and give them a marker,,,or the students can use paper.
Then tell the students to write #s 1-5 on the board and write the most popular answers.  You will get the hang of it.... I endend up just giving a group a point if what they guessed was on their board.  The kids love it and the class gets rowdy.  You can walk around while they are writing their answers and help them with spelling or vocabulary...and the higher level students help the lower levels.
and BTW, I modified this PPT from a few others I found on the web, so some parts are similar to other templates....I'm sorry I cant give those others credit because I've forgotten where they come from.
Enjoy:)

Did anybody figure out how to use the PPT? I can't get the answers or X's to appear either.

Hey!
Sorry for not getting back to you...I guess I thought you figured it out.

If you want the Xs to come up, you just have to click on one of the light blue boxes at the bottom right hand corner of the slide.
If you click on the first box, the first x will come up.  Then, when you want the 2nd x to come up, just click on the 2nd box.  Same for the 3rd.  I'm definitely, by no means an expert at ppt, so this was the easiest way for me to have the Xs pop up.  You just have to be careful not to click inbetween the blue boxes or else the slides will just advance to the next question.

I hope that helps.  If you have any more questions, just ask.

Also, if anyone has any comments on  this game, I would appreciate them as well.
