I just wanted to thank the mods for getting rid of the "Recently Updated" at the top. I found myself reading for hours about co-teacher troubles, dating Korean women, and getting bumped by ajummas when I originally loaded the site to grab a quick lesson plan.

This is not being sarcastic or anything. I really am thankful :)

The up/down voting is good. I think the boards should adopt a "Reputation" system like the bodybuilding.com forums use.

I don't like the new style of markers to indicate how many posts the users have made. I think red is generally a negative color used for banning and watching others. It would be cool if it was marks, like before, but instead of stars, make them something related to Korea. Like little bowls of kimchi or temples or taxis or KTX trains or bibimbab bowls...

I was at first upset that the recent post list was gone, but the more I think about it, it will help prevent so many unwanted posts. Although, I think, if the system of a recent post list was to return, there should be two seperate ones, one for general chat and one for everything job related (job posting, games, lesson plans) so that way it would be easier to ignore the nonsense if it offends you, as it does to so many other posters here (not myself).

I also think using green to highlight the locked threads is a bit too bright to the rest of the scheme. I think it should be a darker grey or something.

Anyways, thanks for the improvement.

I like the new layout.

I'm not sure about the karma thing although it might encourage people to be more careful about what they say.

Personally, I think it would be good if the recently updated topics feed never returned. Then the website could shake off its new chat forum image and go back to being about lesson plans. A personal time saver in my opinion.

I think it looks great. IT does seem to be quicker as well. I would welcome back the recent topics box but no problem if not. I like it, good job :) I also like the karma thing, who ever though of it, great idea!!

I just changed it a bit. It's not love/hate. Unless you can think of something better?

It will also only just show the total in general, as opposed to individual +/- totals.

To +/- a person, you will need to have at least 10 posts under your belt.
