Guess that movie Hot Seat/20 questions game
« on: June 30, 2011, 02:21:28 pm »
This game can be used as either Hot Seat or 20 Questions. Most of the movies are American, but I threw in a couple Korean ones.

I had the students sit with the back to the screen and had the other students describe the person or hero. Or, you can show only one student the picture and have the others guess who he/she is with a 20 questions format.

Here a link to the Google Doc if you would prefer that over downloading the PPT:

Cheers!

Looks great! It's rare to find a good, clean PPT game that's almost ready to go on this site. The one change I'm making is a re-ordering of the slides to put the easier movies first.

With my classes, they used English to describe the American movies, but as soon as a Korean film poped up they all reverted back to Korean (and got very excited). It was very cute.

This game looks great. I might use it as a speed quiz game.

I've never tried playing 20 questions or Hot Seat in my class.

Does Hot Seat work for a class of 30? I'm afraid that if there are too many teams (like 5-6 teams) teams will begin to cheat and it will be difficult to monitor. On the other hand, I guess I could divide my class into 2 teams of 15, but then would there be enough participation? Anyhow, brilliant PPT. Thanks for the upload!
