Rock Salt? Instant pudding?
« on: July 08, 2011, 01:15:33 pm »
Hi folks,

I'm looking to make ice cream in a bag with one of my camps, but the recipe I found require rock salt. Anyone know where I could find this?

Also, has anyone ever seen any instant pudding packets?

We're doing a make-your-own dessert day and so far, all my non-bake recipes either require chilling time I don't have or instant mixes for things :(

Kimchi salt, maybe?

I haven't seen pudding mixes.  :(

One down, one to go!

I found, by a simple search I ought to have done earlier, that any kind of salt will work.

BUT I still need to know about those instant puddings....

I'm making ice cream for my summer camp and I think you can use regular salt if you can't find the rock salt.

Another good idea for a desert is a smoothie or milkshake, I bought a blender for like 25krw.

I'M wondering where I can find t-shirt dye for a tye dye activity

Hi there. Saw your post.  You can't use regular salt and rock salt is hard to come by.  However, I have done the ice cream lesson several times.  IF you go to the grocery store and ask them for the largest kimchee salt they have....it will work just fine.

The name sounds like BS, but you want Wang sogeoum.  왕소금.  It's also know as 굵은소금 (Gool geun sogeum).

Write those down and show them to some lady at the super and they should have them.  Both are very common, so whoever said it was hard to find=fail :P
