'Endings chopsticks game' for middle or high school

(1/1)

taebaekluke:
this is a pretty simple but fun game to play in camp.

1. firstly the students line up in about 5 lines (we had a big group so it went down the whole length of the room).
2. then they need to pass words which are attached to string/rubber bands down the length of the room to the last person in the line. but they can't use hands. they can only use chopsticks (see attached photos).
3. once all the words are at the end of the line, they need to match them with the correct ending (eg. comfort + able = comfortable).
4. when this is done, they need to use these words to complete a fill-in-the-blanks paragraph. the first team to finish the task correctly gets prizes.

the students really got into this one. they got super competitive, and were faster than i thought they would be filling in the blanks. my fill-in-the-blanks paragraph is for fairly high level grade 1 high school students, but you could easily change it for middle school etc.

enjoy!
