Who else runs into this?
My new Korean co-teacher is implementing more Toeic to the junior grades. We will have a ton of writing and listening. There will now be even more tests, and there will be even more words. Out of a whole 50 minutes, we will have 10, for speaking, provided that students get all the paper work done. Is it just me or does no one understand that they have to actually speak, in order to speak. They believe that there system is so correct and yet it fails to give them the results that they want, is there anyway to get through to these people that they are doing it wrong.
Since I have been here I have been a paid record, I read a book that they are reading, and they reapeat what I said. Does anyone else feel this frustration?
If a Korean teacher is reading this please understand, we foreigners like to do a good job, but since we were taught English, don't you think we might know how to better teach it, even the teachers that are real teachers?
