CELL PHONE FAQ
livzy:
There's a place two minutes from Bosan station which sells phones from $10 to $30. No contract, no sim. You pay $10 for $10 of calls.

Sorry if this is redundant but I have been reading and am still very confused about the process of setting up a phone here in Korea. I brought my iphone 4s with me. I had it unlocked before I arrived and I was told by an Apple representative that I could get a prepaid SIM card here. I also read that you can get it set up at a KT store without having an ARC card. Does anyone know if that is true? I am in Ulsan. Does anyone know of a KT store in Ulsan that could help me? I tried clicking the links in this thread but they are not working.

I took my ARC and co-teacher to Olleh and got an i-value plan on my unlocked iphone4. Fairly easy and no dramas at all. They even set the phone up for you to work, so you're good to go.
