English Classroom
« on: August 24, 2010, 04:23:18 pm »
My school is finishing up construction on the English classroom. I was asked what the title of it should be (outside sign).  Teachers suggested, "Dream Up Through English" and "Fun Fun English Zone."

Does anyone have any suggestions? I want something that doesn't sound too cheesy.

In my opinion, simpler is better. My classroom is just called "English Zone" and I think it does the job just fine. The names your co-teachers suggested really aren't grammatically correct; perhaps you should just suggest shortening the "Fun Fun English Zone" to just "English Zone". In my classroom there is a permanent banner that says "English is free ticket to the world" and it is a bit troubling that it wasn't checked for grammar before being glued to the wall.

Just my two cents :)

I totally agree with the simpler name. A long overly complicated name doesn't do anyone any favors. And outside my classroom is a banner that reads: "Dream has now arrived."
