Hi everyone,

A friend of mine who has a PSP-3005 model (not sure about the firmware - menus are all in Korean), and doesn't use it anymore. They want to install an N64 emulator (to play the Japanese "Animal Crossing" game), along with some other emulators like Super Nintendo, MAME, etc.

They're not good with anything tech related, so I'm searching for a way to mod their PSP. My younger brother has a modded one (done by an ex-EB Games employee back in Canada), but I'm trying to find some place that does it in Korea.

I'm in Mokpo (south-west part of Korea), but have heard there's a place in Youngsan station, Seoul that does modding:

However, that post at Dave's ESL is pretty old. Anyone have up to date information on the modding process, or where I could get it done?

Thanks!
-Blayne

Yongsan, across the bridge, outside, to the game type arcade, I just went to the shop that had the lowest price, left it with them for an hour while I went shopping, never had a problem since

By bridge, you mean the one that's part of the iPark mall - Is that on the same floor as all the Gaming stuff? (5th floor I think?)

How did you know which places modded PSPs? Also - what was the best price you found for that?  Thanks for the info!

From I park, go out side, across the parking lot, up the street a little, (up towards the crossing) on the left? Is an underground arcade type place, go down the ramp for gaming galore. Pick a psp stall, obvious as, I paid about ₩50k, hard case, 8gb card + mod & time to copy games, the first guy said ₩100k, so I went to the next guy, he said ₩80k so I told him the other guy said ₩70k......, they're pretty good at their art so I would spend an extra hr of neg work.

Thanks for the info. Did they do any loading of stuff onto the PSP (emulators etc?), or is that left up to the customer? I'm doing this for my GF, so it'll be up to me to do the tech stuff with Roms, etc. :)
