@ NickJo- I have actually been given three copies of "Korean Made Easy for Beginners". I'd be more than happy to give you one for free so that you don't have to buy it.

Not sure if NickJo will actually read this, so it's pretty much a general offer if anyone was looking into getting that book. Send me a message if you're interested though, cause I probably won't check up on this link again.

I like the idea of using it as a supplement to learning the language.  I have found that through my use of Rosetta Stone, if I actually write down the important words and concepts I retain it better than just having to repeat over and over again.  My korean is definitely starting to get better through using it.

I definitely agree that Rosetta Stone works better if you treat it a supplement to a more conventional language course. There is certainly value in repetition (check out the Earworms series, although I think they're yet to produce a Korean course). In the end though I've found that nothing works as well as simply writing 8-10 words a day onto flashcards and glancing at them as you go about your daily routine.

I've been downloading free podcasts from itunes. They give you all the basics and allow you to repeat. They don't take long and the free-ness is a real selling(?) point.

I'll take one if you still have one!
