New Year Camp
« on: January 02, 2012, 04:59:14 PM »
This week, I am doing New Years with my elementary school children.

I started with a ppt, all about western New Year traditions.
Then we made cards.
Tomorrow I am getting them to practice writing the vocab from the lesson and do a word search I created with the vocab.
Then it's on to resolutions.
Then we will discuss the Lunar New Year and make Chinese Lanterns.

Most of my worksheets are from activityvillage.co.uk.

I forgot to upload the card! This took the kids a while to colour, but they looked great when they were done!

Would this work for middle school?

I think the ppt could be used with middle school students, especially the resolutions part. But I think the crafts are really for younger children.
