Hi I’ve just moved to Yeongyang to start working as an elementary school teacher and have been told most of the classes I will teach will be discretional classes which means I don’t need to follow the elementary text book. However whilst this gives me more freedom, as I have never taught before I’m not sure what topics I should try and focus on and how to make them link together each week.
I will also be teaching the same set of students for 7 lessons each friday and am unsure what the best way to teach these would be. I was thinking perhaps project based learning so that they produce something by the end of the 7th lesson. Any suggestions on these matters would be appreciated.
