Very Fun After School Class Idea!
« on: September 21, 2011, 06:20:23 PM »
So, it has been a busy couple of weeks for my students. They have so many exams these next 2 weeks that I wanted to give them an extra fun after school English conversation class!
I taught them how to do The Cupid Shuffle!
I began by showing them the Official Music Video.
Next, I passed out the lyrics I had printed out  but left blanks in some of the easier words throughout the song.
Students watched the video one more time and filled in the blanks.
Then, I we all get up and get ready to DANCE!
I found a really great instructional video that makes learning this dance cool to even the middle school boys! We all have fun learning the steps.
Then, we dance all the way through with only the song.
Lastly, we continue dancing but I show them videos of American students dancing it together at their schools!
It was fun and the kids were singing along the whole time!
They were speaking in English, if only at the same capability as I would singing a 2PM song at a NariBang!
I have attached my ppt which is only one frame, but it has all the links to the videos I used. I also attached the lyrics with the blank spaces.
 :D Enjoy! :D

This is a great idea! I have been trying to find a fun activity to do with my afterschool class during our mid-terms. I think we're going to have alot of fun with this! Thanks
