G'day guys,

I just checked out your blog about Cambodia. AMAZING photos!

Mind if I hit you up for a quick list of the names of where you stayed & contact info if you have them? I'm thinking about heading there with my wife this winter break & don't really want to Tom's Aunt's, cousin's, step-daughter... and get ripped off. ^^

PS. CityGirl, I have a whole rock climbing rack (with a pinkish rope) for sale on KOTR if you're interested.  ;D

Hey!

I am so excited at the prospect of a "pinkish" rope you have no idea :) Can u give me some more details on that and what else your selling?

About Cambodia:

Well we started off in Phnom Penh and stayed at about 10 mins from the airport. I can't for the life of me remember the name, but the only reason we booked there in advance was because we arrived in Phnom Penh pretty late on the friday eve. If I were you, I would try and fly straight to Siem Riep (if your planning on seeing the Temples~which you HAVE to!) As its a MUCH nicer city with much nicer places to stay etc.
Then I would recommend either having a squizz at accommodation using a google search or just do as we did, and get a Tuk Tuk to take you around. They wait for you, and you feel absolutely no obligation to stay at the first one they show you. Also then you can go into the place and check it out, and if its horrible just ask the driver to show you another one...easy :)

Then we took a night bus (which is booked by most of the guest houses/motels) and headed to Sihnoukville, where we went to Koh Rong Saloem (Lazy Island). Here is a link to their website:

Definitely book ahead as they get pretty darn busy!

But we had an absolutely wonderful time there, it was paradise!

You will love Cambodia, it was an amazing experience, and every photo we took was a good photo

:)
