Reading practice ppt...
It starts with a few word jumbles and progresses to sentence jumbles to help get the kids in tune to the game I was going to play.
**** For my class I was using pictures of me and the homeroom teachers... I deleted these for this upload, so I recommend sticking some he/she pictures in the blank areas. (It should make sense when you have a look at the ppt)***
We did a whispering game for our reading activity. I made two sets of word cards "he, she, I, like, likes, soccer, doesn't, baseball, music, movies," (etc). The words were laid out on the front desk and mixed together with team A's cards on the left and Team B's on the right. I said the sentence at the back, and my co monitored the kids at the front to make sure they were not cheating while the kid at the front arranged the word cards into the right sentence. The quickest (and correct) team got the point. They had a really good time, even if they screwed up He/she half the time. Oh yeah, each round make the line rotate so the front kid that just did the reading is in the back listening now.
