Teaching in Poland
dchrzano:
Anybody know anything about teaching in Poland?
I have a European Union Citizenship and was born there so I wonder if it would be any easier, any links to reputable schools or companies would be appreciated. I tried to do my own research but didn't find anything substantial.

This website is really useful and advertises good jobs. I've set the search for Poland and 13 jobs came up!

penguinatrix:
Anyone know if Polish schools require a CELTA/other certification?
hutcho2:
do you need an EU Passport to teach in Poland these days?
kmlcook:
I don't know anything about teaching in Poland, but I'd assume that you wouldn't need CELTA certification. Take a look at this file...it has a breakdown of country information regarding ESL: http://www.teflinstitute.com/PDFs/CountryChart.pdf
I think your best bet is to start researching on your own or if you have Polish friends, talk to them to get a feel for language schools over there. Or, if you're interested in a certain city, type "English schools in ___Warsaw___" into Google and start there.
Good luck. :)
