Grade 4, Lesson 8 - How Much Is It? (Judy Yin book)

This is the first time I'm uploading lesson plans. I see that this topic doesn't have a link to the Grade 4 index. Can someone please help with that?

I've attached two games. The Mario game is a combination of the first lesson of the second semester and a simple review of the first semester work. The Bomb game is also a simple game based on the first few pages of lesson 8. I made it simple as my kids' brains are a bit lazy from the long summer vacation. Feel free to download and modify.

I love the Mario game! The kids get soo excited and are even willing to participate when I use this for reviewing topics.

Mario game for "How Much Is It?" I've tried using the key expressions and vocabulary from the entire lesson.

This game practices some of the key sentences from this chapter.  Print out the first slide from the file "cards and practice sentences".  Then use the file "Speed Card Game".  Each team will have their own set of six cards.  Show them the sentences from the Speed Card Game file and have them put the picture cards in the same order as the sentences appear on the screen.

Here are some materials I used for this lesson.
One worksheet (money matching) is from teacherdel (who is sadly no longer teaching here  ) I altered it to match the book since it does not teach numbers above 1000 won.
Another is a board game I created from someone's blank board game template.
The ppt is a review of the vocabulary as well as numbers 100-900.
the last is a gogo video which is too large to upload but if you go to youtube and look up gogo's video # 30 that is the one. I've attached a a PDF version of the game in case the margins are funny in word.

As I was about to start this lesson I discovered oh hey, we only teach the odd numbered lessons (another teacher does the rest). No, in 6 months of teaching together my co-teacher had never bothered to explain this. It had only come up once before (believe it or not - we work slowly!) and that lesson was the Weather one, so it made sense to skip it, I thought. TURNS OUT...Sigh. Anyway.

Yeah, I made that on my Macbook and even though I saved the images and then planted them, they still came up blank for me too in the classrooms. Sucked for me. I am glad you could modify it and use it.

Here are some worksheets I made for Harry Potter camp (posted there too), but I thought post them here. Having a theme on the worksheets might motivate them to do the work, or just edit out the theme. Enjoy!
Hope someone can use them. They are generic, except they refer to wons and not dollars since our book teaches won.

You will need the Harry potter font if you want to use the PPT file and not the PDF.
