visa query
« on: September 09, 2011, 05:00:52 PM »
Hi, I'm a new teacher here in Korea and would like to know if my current visa is the correct multi-entry visa.
I have in my passport a E.3 visa which ws collected in London ann this ws stamoed when I entered Korea.
However, when I went with mo co-teacher to get my alien card, I tried to apply for a multi-entry but the assistant said to my co-teacher (there English isn't that great) that I had the correct visa I was looking for and that I should not apply for a multi-entry visa.  According to my Epik manual, when I applied for my Alien card, I should also apply for a muti-entry visa, which I attempted!
Can anyone enlightenme please?
What would happen if I did leave korea on my current e-3 visa?
Thanks in advance

Your visa should be an E2 for teaching.

If you're from the UK, they wouldn't have changed it because Korea has an agreement with the UK that automatically grants all UK citizens multiple entry.  Also, I've heard that all visas are now multiple entry.  It's not a problem to leave Korea on the visa you have.
