Warm-up: This lesson starts with an attention grabbing "Where the hell is Matt?" video. This gets the students thinking about traveling abroad. Next, students see some famous pictures of landmarks from around the world and discuss where they would like to travel and why.
Main part Students learn how to check-in at an airport and how to go through immigration when they arrive in a new country. The PPT also teaches important airport vocabulary such as passport, e-ticket, carry-on, luggage, suitcase, passport, boarding pass, gate, immigration, etc.
Students complete and worksheet to check their understanding of the day's vocabulary and dialogues. On the backside of the worksheet, I included matching airport signs activity. Next class, you can review by playing the Annoying Orange Game with airport signs.
