Pronunciation - Tongue Placement Pics for classroom
« on: October 21, 2010, 09:57:27 am »
Does anyone know where I can get some pictures showing (preferably DRAWN) the location of the tongue for various letters?  There's only so much they can see with my tongue.  I think a visual would be EXCELLENT but can't find any.

Heres a few from a quick google search, if we could find a animated mouth that runs on flash or something with the sounds playing it would be very useful...

It came from this site:

This site has an animated mouth; it demonstrates the sounds and articulation for American English: http://www.uiowa.edu/~acadtech/phonetics/#

if you click on the quicktime video link on this page then you can see a person from the front, the side, and then a diagram showing the tongue.
