Just listened to a few of his songs.

For me nothing of himself stuck out enough.  Sounded a bit like Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, Dylan, Tom Waits, but not as outstanding as any of them.  Good compared to most of the crap being put out nowdays though.  At least someone is trying...

Heh… I used to love the Screaming Trees in high school… but now I go back and they're kinda not so special.
'Dust' is a really good album, though.

Listening to all 1500 or more songs on MP3 player which generally encompasses, R&B, Jazz, & hip hop.  Also, ocassionally listen to 100 guilty pleasure and 90's songs on nutsie.com when I'm able to listen without earphones (alone in room).

If you give it a shot, Leonard's version will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up by the end of the song and you'll feel like you're high as a kite.  I admit it seems at first less approachable than the others as it does sound a bit 'churchy' but honestly, give it a listen to again in a quiet room with no distractions and you'll find depths there you'll have missed before.  Plus his voice, man it could make a nursery rhyme or even a k-pop song sound like the best music on earth.

the walkmen. Rock music- pure and simple. These guys are pretty phenomenal. I wish I'd discovered them earlier. They're upbeat enough to work out with, but not too fast to chill with.
