Autumn/Fall PPT
« on: September 23, 2011, 04:00:55 PM »
Attached is a PPT I made on the Fall season. I'm from the States, so it's a bit more specific to our Fall season, but I figure many other people can use it as well. I will likely make a bomb game, trivia game, or bingo to follow up on some of the vocab. The poem at the end is fun if you can read the last stanza in a creepy voice.

Here is a wordsearch and crossword to go along with the ppt. The crossword is more difficult.

Nice PPT for a more advanced class.

Lizard, are you from Wisconsin by chance? I'm only guessing based on the choices for PowerPoint pictures.

Thanks.  I used the backbone of the PPT.

A few things I added:

When does fall occur?
Why do we have fall?
Difference between southern and northern hemisphere.

Fall picnicing.
American football and European soccer essentially underway.  Baseball season winds down with playoffs and championships.
I reduced Halloween to 1 page.

I'll add mine as soon as it's edited.

Fall is my favorite season. I don't know what I would teach my students about it though, being from California where the seasons don't change.

Thanks for posting the Crossword. I just did it today with my students and they really liked it. I found a Thanksgiving PPT and have tweaked it a little bit to make it a little more advanced for my students:
