Here's a few powerpoint slides of some well known fairytales/monsters/kpop stars I made to use as a quick motivator and review topic.

Here's a ppt and charades game. A member from each team comes to the front of the class and has to guess what picture is behind them as the class try and act to get the message across.

A face power point I made to go along with the lesson. Not my best work, but it introduces face parts gradually (good as a precursor to Guess Who game). End product looks like Gaddafi in a hat.

This is my first contribution. I borrowed from this site a lot just wanted to give back. It's just a modified pass the pencil case game from a template that I got from this website.

Thanks for putting up the Pororo game, but I have to say, I do think that Angelina Jolie photo may be a little inappropriate for Korean 4th grade. The sentence "she has six legs" was good, but the spread-leg photo could very well make for an awkward situation.

Here's a good replacement photo. Change the text to "He has 4 arms."

Oh, and beano.... that "body.ppt" is excellent! nice work!

The review ppt below is a modified version of beano's. A few of the slides are the same, but I've spruced it up a bit. I'm going to use beano's original one this next week and the modified one during my open class.

Here's a Guess Whom Game Set tailored for this unit's target language. (Guess Who)

Distinguishing characteristics in the set are:
  • hair (length and colour)
  • eyes (colour only)
  • glasses/nose
  • height
  • gender (as denoted by rosy cheeks for girls of course)
With it also comes a profuse apology: They're all Caucasian/Asian. Ultimately, I didn't want race to be used as a key defining characteristic in the game so had to settle for the lesser of two evils: a "TV's Friends" version of reality over introducing race related target language without context. I guess the best solution would be to go back a do up some separate boards with different skin tones (but still 12 or 24 of the same per board, so just different board variants) and just hand out a random matching pair per group. If anyone wishes for me to do this and genuinely wants to use the resultant resource, or if you have a different solution that has escaped me then please do message me and I'll go play with the images again. Again, my sincerest apologies.

Instructions and printing suggestions are at the back of the PDF in case you need them.

Here's the story "Big Green Monster". I found it elsewhere on waygook but can't remember the thread (apologies). I made a few modifications since my students are lower level and I didn't want it to be too complicated. The first few slides are good for reviewing. Then I made a few questions (in Korean, sorry if its bad grammar) to check their comprehension after we read it a few times.
Another good story instead of the one in the book is "Is she your mother" also found somewhere in the Story PPTs thread (a modified version of Eastman's Are You My Mother?".  We will have two students pair up and play the mouse and the baby bird for RP.
Have fun!
