If you are sick of powerpoint games. Here is a different activity you can do with this lesson. Give your kids 15-20 minutes to write 4-5 sentences about one of their family members. Help them be creative by doing an example presentation yourself. For homework have them bring in a picture of the family member and next class period have them present their family member to the class.

Since the storytime parts can be a bit boring I usually have my students be creative and think up their own stories.

On the last day of lesson 13, I used this Super Hero family ppt to introduce the class to my own super hero family. I would show the super hero and ask the class to guess which family member of mine the character was and to describe the family member. After the PPT was finished, the students created their own super hero family photo album. Many students stayed after class to keep working on the mini book.

I used this today to review past tense.  The students go well into this guy's moves!
Though they were curious about his voice (when the kids were singing).
They really did love it though and together the two songs seemed like they solidified their understanding of the non-standard do to did conjugation. Thanks!

Here is a worksheet for this chapter.  It has sections for practicing writing the key words and phrases, making sentences based on pictures, a wordsearch, a crossword, and a tongue twister.

And it's all on one page.  =)

Here is the "My Cat Likes to Hide In Boxes" edited to only include "likes to" sentences and the accompanying edited blockbusters game.  I only did the first round though, but you can edit the second round if you want.  Thanks to the original poster!

Here's a simple worksheet. Students choose 4 family members and they say what it is each family member likes to do.

Stand-Up Game:
T:   I will give you some picture cards. First, let’s go over the sentences. Please listen and repeat.
S: Listen and repeat.
T: Good. Let’s get into three teams. Now, I will say a sentence. Then, I will show the picture. Each team has one person with each picture. If you have the picture, please stand and say the sentence as fast as you can. If you are the first to stand, you can say the sentence again and roll the dice for points. The team with the most points will win.

Word Removal:
T: Let’s play a game. Please look at the sentences and read them with your groups. Each person will say one word. Say your word as fast as you can! I will time you! Good job! Now, I will take away one word. When you see this word, please “clap!” Please do it as fast as you can. If you beat the other team’s time, you are the winner.
