Grade 4, Lesson 9 - How Wonderful! (lime green book)

I just compiled a short introduction for the first part of the lesson. As soon as I finished, my co said that we will not be teaching lesson 9 anymore. I hope this is useful to someone else.

This lesson is just ridiculous so I just skipped it but I did teach colors so here are some materials relating to that part of the lesson.
I added a vocab sheet (ignore the few clothing vocab, I added on).
Also attached is a role play I created for colors. I discovered it's medium to high level. My kids could do it but found it a little hard.
also I downloaded a video from youtube playing Deana Carter's Color Everywhere (it shows a lot of autumn colors) and asked them to check off the colors she says in the song. (she mentions about 5).
Worksheet is from bogglesworld.
Then I played whisper game and whispered the color and they ran up hit it on the board and spoke the color.
Also played whiteboard game. I showed a color and they had to write it down on their personal whiteboards (as a team) and spelling counted.
Since they learned "How wonderful" and "how beautiful" in the weather lesson, I just skipped this one.

EDIT: I added the hangul translation on the vocab and role play for those of you, like me, who teach alone.

Yeah, this chapter is a bit ridiculous....

My Co-teacher came up with a fun game that get them moving though!
Basically, you name the four corners of the room "How Wonderful" "How Beautiful" "How Nice" and "How Big". Then you let them run around and choose a corner to stand in while you have your eyes closed. Then you count down 3!2!1! STOP! and say one of the four phrases. whoever is in that corner is out and has to sit down. You keep going till theres only a few students left standing. We gave those students points. Once you have a few students down you can even let them call out the phrases. They really liked this one!

Break into three groups. In each group, get one person who has the best, english-speaking skills out of the group.

Each team has one minute to answer. The student that was chosen will act it out while the others students are faced against the screen. You can pass if the students can't answer.

Rules: You cannot point to a color. You can use other english words. For instance: Yellow....Act out someone peeling a banana.

The team with the most correct answers wins. Use the target sentence.

I combined two different PPTs (earlier posts) to make an Introduction to the Lesson "How Wonderful!" I have the key expression, "How _____!" and "It's _______ (color)." I also have a Mario Game to pair with Introduction PPT and Story Time 1.
