Grade 4 Lesson 11 "What Day is it Today?"Judy Yin book
« on: October 18, 2011, 11:37:11 am »
Attached is the vocabulary sheet and key expressions.

EDIT: Added speaking board game "Bounce" with instructions. I didn't create this. It's a little complicated so do not use if your CT is not fluent. My CT added the instructions in Korean, so you can give it a try.

Here's some more stuff for this lesson. I did not create any of it EXCEPT the hungry caterpillar bingo.

This is a pass the ball game for Lesson 11, Part 2.

Students are supposed to learn how to ask and answer questions about what they did in the past. My students are very low level. When the music stops I will have them listen and repeat the answer.  I will also have 2 balls going around the circle.

This is a template for students to make their own book.  Each page they can write a day of the week and then draw a picture on what they did on that day.  If you have time you can share with the class. (ie. On Sunday I went hiking)

Each student gets their own paper.  They must cut on the dotted line in the center and then fold it into a small book.  Message me back if you cannot figure out how it folds.

A Harry Potter board game that I made for camp but uses the expressions from our book, so I thought I'd post it here as well.

If you're going to edit the PPT, then you are going to need the Harry potter fonts to make it look right, otherwise I've posted a PDF version.

Enjoy!

My LPs for this lesson. I hope they can help. They're not very detailed. (I teach alone and I don't script myself....haha)

The colour worksheet, what is it suppose to be? Some of the days I am not sure what they are suppose to be and what color they should be.... I tried it out and might be dense but I am not sure what I am suppose to see?

Honestly, I don't know, I know there's a bird in there. I used it (and changed the colors) as listening exercise. I told them what day is what color and then they had to color it in. You did better than me, since I only intended it as a listening exercise, I didn't bother to try coloring it in first.
