I registered an hour ago. So far I am loving this site. There are tons of good postings, info, and materials here.

A thought occurred to me while reading a posting. I don't mean any disrespect, nor do I feel smug about my superior Korean-speaking ability and superior knowledge about Korean culture, but the poster wrote, "a speck of go-chu-jang" or something to that effect. Technically, it's a speck of go-chu-ga-ru, for go-chu-jang is basically paste, whereas go-chu-ga-ru is powder.

On that note, I welcome shout-outs from other Korean-wherever teachers.
Vincent: What'cha mean walk the earth?
Jules: You know, walk the earth, meet people... get into adventures. Like Caine from "Kung Fu."

What's up, fellow gyopo's. I'm Korean-American. My speaking is good, but my writing sucks. I need to work on that.

Same. I'm from Toronto.

I can speak Korea somewhat well, but read and write it like a 1st grader.
