I wouldn't say I'm a natural at teaching. I think I'm good at a type of teaching. I'm confident in the classical style (teacher -> students), but not so good in the contemporary ones:
teachers <-> students
students -> teacher
teacher -> ( students <-> students )

I think it's easy to be the first type if you're just a confident speaker and are able to think quickly on the spot. The other types actually require a solid knowledge of pedagogy or years of experience dealing with students. Especially the last type.

Also, mind you, the first lesson plan I uploaded to Waygook (What is beauty?), was a good 3 to 4 months into my contract. Looking back at the lessons I made during the first few months, it seemed like a completely different person made them.

I made a video about Japanese, Korean and Chinese cognates that your students might potentially like. It's not about teaching English, but it might help to spark an interest in foreign languages, in the general sense. It might also be great for a teacher/parents class!

Perhaps it can lead into a lesson about similarities or differences between languages or the etymology of language.

I just remembered that I uploaded a few lessons on here that didn't prove very popular. In case anyone is interested in simply taking the ideas from these lessons and developing your own, here they are:

Etiquette - Canada vs. Japan
Festivals, Flash Mobs and & Random Acts of Kindness

There's one more called "Mythical Monsters", but I can't seem to find it using Waygook's search function, so I've attached it below.

The Festival lesson was not very well made, but the I really liked the idea of showing the concept of Flash mobs and such. Korea doesn't seem to have a lot of events where people have fun for the sake of having fun. It seemed like a worthy lesson.

The Etiquette lesson was highly specialized to me (being a Japanese-Canadian), so I can see why it wasn't very popular.

However, I still think the "Mythical Monsters" lesson was well made and might prove to be popular in your class.
