  • My ring is a mansion.
See topic title.

Further question - how easy is it to get your ARC replaced if you lose it?

Yes, they took my ARC at the airport when I left from my first stint here several years ago.
I was disappointed as it would've made a nice keepsake.
We teach EFL not ESL. Hagwon and "Private School" are not synonymous. Not everyone works in either a hagwon or public school. Immigration Question? Call 1345.

Yes, they take it at the little passport control desks just past the security check..

I've never had to have mine replaced, but I've known someone who has; pretty sure that they got a new one without too much hassle.  None that I remember them complaining about, anyway.  I think there is a fee involved though

I will have 1 month left on my visa and card when I leave Korea.

I would quite like to keep my ARC as a keep safe too.
I could easily tell them I am coming returning to Korea and be able to keep the card.

Just wondering what consequences if any, would there be if I happen to work in Korea in the future?

Not if your card is about to expire.  If it is, there will not be much of an excuse.  I will try that idea though.  I leave Dec 1 and my visa expires Dec 31

  • A Lannister always pays his debts.
What about accidentally losing your ARC card, getting another copy, and then somehow finding the first copy again?

That way you'd have two.  Immigration would take one.

Yeah?

Yeah.  I currently have 2 - genuinely lost my old one when I dropped my wallet in a taxi.  I got a replacement, and a couple of weeks later got my wallet back in the mail complete with old card.  If and when I leave the country, I plan to keep the old card as a souveneir.
