Hey, thanks for adding a Paypal option! I'm contributing now...

I second the idea of asking Simon and Martina for assistance - they have a huge audience and if they would be willing to help, that could definitely make a significant difference.

I'm glad he's out of surgery and I hope he recovers soon!

Yes, let's do that if it helps.  Maybe they'll reach an audience we can't or something of the like.  If anyone is a friend or has communicated with them before, please PM myself and/or AC_in_korea.
Carpe PM... ZzzzzZzzz ZzzzZzzz.

Is it still a viable option to directly deposit to his checking account?

Thanks for the taking the initiative to help this person out, I couldn't ever imagine myself in this position, would love to see my money directly benefit and save even for a fraction someone elses life!

... If you are sending funds from another country to Mick's Korean account:
Bank name: National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup)
Name: Michael Milne
Account number: 811057 52 067773
Swift Code - NACFKRSEXXX
Address: 75, Chungjeongro 1 Ga
Jung-Gu, Seoul, Korea
Phone: 82-10-7552-1964

Thank you for this AC. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and God bless his brother for courageously stepping in.

Can you reconfirm that this info is legit and correct?  Also, it would be best if you could create a web blog to give updates and show pictures.  It would be a great place to write our words of support for him there. The waygook thread is difficult to keep up with.  I will request prayers for him at monasteries here in Korea and another country as well as do prayers at a holy place overseas.

Second this - I have the funds to donate a little but would like the confirmation of a visual (and assume this is true for at least a handful of others as well).  It'd also be really nice to have a central place to go to when wanting updates on his condition and what's going on, since right now information seems really scattered.

I'm a new teacher here in Korea and have had my share of hospital scares, I can't imagine what kind of anxiety he and his family are experiencing.  If donating can help ease that, I'm 100% behind it.  Prayers for a quick and full recovery.

I also agree with this central place or website for updates and pictures. I'll be sending some donations after work today.

I hope everything works out, especially for the holidays!  :D

Thanx Arsalan for letting me know otherwise I was going to miss it. On that note, I wish Mike a speedy recovery and pledge my full support to him and his family during this trying time!

Coincidentally I also bank with Nonghyup, so, tomorrow morning I will definitely make a transfer - donation to his account.

What caused the liver to fail...I scanned this page but could not the problem that caused it.
Im not able to donate live or blood BUT I would like to donate something I dont have a lot of money but I will see what I can do.
Also I dont want to sound harsh, rude or inconsiderate....but how do we know this is not a scam? I need to ask, as I get tons of these things sent to me daily and they only reason why I am asking is because its from this site...

I'll join this cause!
I have to say that I won't be able to donate much, the amount may even seems very little compared to others.
I really want to help, but I'm still only a Master's student. Please understand.

Read the thread for pertinent information.  Check out the facebook page.  It's thoroughly confirmed.

Liver and blood donors are not needed; the transplant has aleady taken place.  However, he still needs funds.

I'm sorry, but I'm trying to transfer and can't find Nonghyup Bank on the transfer list.
Can somebody help me out?

1. Because the NZ embassy has confirmed it.
2. Lots of important people, like KOTESOL higher ups are getting involved.
3. I get tons of scam stuff as well, it's usually out of Africa from some prince offering me huge sums of money with horrible English. I don't get scams from fellow English teachers with liver failure.

I can't donate but I contacted Simon and Martina. I don't know if this has been done already but I did it just in case.
