Colour Wheels
« on: December 02, 2011, 02:23:00 pm »
Hi, I am doing a Colour Wheels activity for my Winter camp and I want to use crosswords or wordsearches to test their knowledge after the production stage. Is there anyone out there who has done a similar project that knows where I can get these activites already made from - I really don't fancy stressing about having to create crosswords and wordsearches.  Thanks

Puzzlemaker.com is great for wordsearches and crosswords... just type in the words and key expressions you want, and it makes them for you!  super easy

I didn't know there was a website to do this so I spent hours doing it myself! This would surly help. Thank you!

Yeah, had to do colours and shapes last year. I've got a... sizable list of colours and shapes activities with a resource set for some of them uploaded on the site. Link is in the signature below. Bear in mind that if you're going beyond the basics, print and screen colours do differ.

The Make Your Own Colour class always works a treat and really tests their knowledge. Get them to begin the class by picking one of their possessions (not something black or white) and by the end just check they're able to describe one or two colours on it in minute detail.

Here's something wacky on the web you can show your students too: http://www.puremango.co.uk/2010/05/xkcd-color-survey-3d-visualization/
