thank you so much for this! i was having my advance class do some winter crafts and wanted them to work on english as well while they were coloring, so i had these powerpoints going as they colored and they really enjoyed it!! kudos to you! great work! ^^

These are great! I use this stuff at the beginning of my classes to get my students focused. I was making some similar ppts, actually, but I like yours better!

I love these types of activities. The kids seem to like brain teasers and puzzles as well. I made a few similar activities over the last year though mine require full sentences which are found in the 6th grade text book. My kids really enjoy them. You'll probably want to replace the second slide on activity 3 with a picture of you and your name on the following slide.

My new weekly warm-up. One a week, gets the kids a bit rowdy but thinking in English. If I move on quickly from the powerpoint, some of them even continue to pay attention. Thanks a lot for posting these up. Simple but very effective - as are all the best materials!

Thanks these are great warm ups work so well to set the context and give the students time to process the topic before diving straight in and getting lost. it also really helps to wake them up first thing in the morning. Or just before lunch....or just after lunch....or in the afternoon. any time really!

I've lifted so much off this site, it's time to give something back.

Here's a few of mine, tailored towards the humour/interests of my middle-school boys.

I now use these for a warm-up in class, they don't take long to make and the kids love them.
