아이탑 and youtube
« on: November 18, 2010, 03:00:38 pm »
For the past few months I have gotten a page that reads "아이탑"  every time I try to load up youtube. Embedded players just come up with an error message. I would to show some videos to my students but it seems someone beefed up my schools firewall or something.

Is there anyway around this?

youtube on my schools computers alwasy seems to run really slow, and takes forever to buffer.
What i ended up doing is downloading a free program called "ORBIT" which allows me to download any youtube or any other video on the internet.

then i save the file to usb and play in any media player.

If yor schools computer is giving you trouble, i'd download the video on your home computer and bring to school.

good luck

Yeah, I think I will make use of my dropbox and just use that to store the videos

Hmm ... I've had an occasion where MES-English was blocked! I contacted my co-teacher, and the engineer came.  My school did not block it, but the education office did. The next couple of days, it became unblocked thanks to my request and the engineer's help.

I would recommend an unblocker (for educational purposes ONLY!) like http://www.myunblockwebsites.com but that doesn't work for Flash videos :(

I also recommend (if you have Firefox, if not - get it!) getting the extension FlashGot to download flash videos from any website, which is not limited to YouTube.

Hope that helps :D
