Are there any places in Seoul that sell the international version (FM radio, non-hardwired camera shutter sound, etc) Galaxy SII? I've already got a contract, and I don't want a Korean version - has anyone heard of anywhere to pick up a clean, factory unlocked one?

Hey glorious #basedmods, could I get one of you to please shuffle this over to the IT section? I think it belongs there.

Thanks!

Get a Korean model. It is technically international hardware and comes with FM radio (you may have to enable it). You can remove the SK/KT etc. firm ware and clean install from Google the bland/standard firmware for free.

You can also root and enjoy some extra apps if you do the above process. If you want the camera sound off that is also easy to do. All SK phones are unlocked. Let me know if you want some info on how to do any of the above.

If you need it for other purposes let me know. I can tell you how to go about it.

I don't suppose you would know how to root a LG LU 3000. Also known as Optimus Mach.
