I'm not one to make resolutions, but my Korean teacher told me to pass the beginner TOPIK.
C is for cookie, that's good enough for me.

Standard fare for me: learn Korean / sit the TOPIK (it will be my 2nd year in K-ville); read more fiction than the shamefully low 3 novels I read this year; get a uni job for my 3rd year. I just read that the TOPIK exam doesn't have a speaking element to it. I would ask why something so fundamental is lacking but I've conducted speaking tests in Korean public schools so I know how this one plays. :blank:

For those wanting to take the TOPIK: make sure you read the schedule soon.  Registration periods are only a week or two, and they happen months before the actual test.  They are easy to miss.

Pass TOPIK Level 4 (taking it in January and postponing my vacation until February so I can study all day every day) and take 50+ pictures every week!

This is my first year with no public resolutions.

My 2 girls said drop some kilos, have a baby.. my wife said the same (without the babies), the son's in law said the obvious ( make more money).

I'm 50, made resolutions for about 40 years. Only one happend.

I have a couple of things I'm working on, but no more New Years resolutions for me. Yeah,  I know it's tradition, but anytimes pretty good.

Just one, more philosophical in nature: accomplish what I want to accomplish this year. Not what people expect of me (other than job stuff ), not what people want from me, etc. Self-honesty and self-respect year.

Look after my mental health a bit better (this means, not staring at my ex bf's Facebook page and wondering if he will ever care for me again).

Attempt to break out of my closed, solitary bubble and actually talk to people.

Save money.

Plan my escape once my contract is up (cannot wait) and head to Europe.

Plan more ink.

Stay active.
